Lao Foundation handed over the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Dynamic Christian School of Technology Incorporated (DCST) last August 11, 2016. The MOA is for the scholarship of 20 trainee-beneficiaries who will take up the shielded metal arc welding NCII course under the LFI-Dynamic School of Technology TechVoc Scholarship Project. DCST is located in Marulas, Valenzuela, a techvoc school catering to marginalized youth in the CAMANAVA (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela) area.
The techvoc course under the LFI-Dynamic School of Technology TechVoc Scholarship Project consist of two months in-school, plus 200 hours of OJT. Classes will start in September 2016 after the trainee-candidates have been screened and selected. Graduates of this course are expected to be employed as plater, pipe fitter, or pipe welder locally or internationally in construction, fabricating, and manufacturing companies.
DCST is a training institution established under the Philippine laws with Security & Exchange Commission No. 201108199. They are primarily engaged in providing technical skills training by offering technical vocational courses. They provide advance knowledge, correct skills, and right attitude through their modular approach of learning that enhance the competitiveness and marketability of their graduates for local and foreign employments.
