Lao Foundation recently met with PNP Foundation and PNP CIDG to finalize the memorandum of agreement (MOA) and the implementing rules and regulations (IRR) for the LFI-PNPFI-PNP CIDG Educational Assistance project --- a project to help uplift the morale of PNP CIDG personnel through the grant of educational assistance to dependents of qualified PNP CIDG personnel who are killed in police operation, and/or seriously wounded or incapacitated in the performance of duty.
The meeting was held at the office of Philippine National Police Foundation, Inc. (PNPFI) in San Juan City attended by PNPFI Executive Director P/Dir. Victor G. Batac (Ret), CIDG Police Superintendent Nino David Rabaya, CIDG Police Senior Inspector Jefferson Ison, LFI representatives, and other PNPFI and PNP CIDG representatives.
PNPFI Executive Director P/Dir. Victor G. Batac expressed PNPFI’s desire to be an active partner by way of handling and managing all funds for this LFI-PNPFI-PNP CIDG Educational Assistance project. PNPFI is a foundation certified by the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC). The current chairman is Secretary Panfilo Lacson and the vice chairman is Ms. Teresita Ang-See.
On the other hand, PNP CIDG Police Superintendent Nino David Rabaya expressed his deepest gratitude for choosing them as recipient of the project. They will create a PNP CIDG Educational Assistance Board who shall oversee this project. He suggests the formal signing of the MOA to be done at Camp Crame within the month of August 2015.
